If I'm having a bad day, I do my best to repress it or just stay quiet until I can deal with it in privacy.
Then I'll turn on my "Emo songs" playlist and just chill.

Back from Vaca... some music i like

I got back from vacationing in FL on Tuesday, it was good, we went to disneyworld and i got sunburnt.

Haven't touched Haruhi-chan since I left, lol. Now's just not good, time-wise. Senioritis and being gone for 7 days from school - not a good combo.

So yeah. I'm into music right now. Frou Frou/Imogen Heap, Cascada, The Postal Service, Death cab for cutie, snow patrol....
It's all i need right now lol.

Going to After-Prom tonight, because Prom can suck it.

Cosplay work

Stuff I've done:

-bought three yards of 1.87 teal blue fabric
-bought one yard of 1.87 light blue fabric
-bought a pack of maroon bias tape
-bought black knee highs
-bought 7.96 skirt pattern

Total cost of Haruhi so far: 21.41

I think that i've bought all that's necessary, but I'll leave the final cost until i'm 100% done.

Hey, I've decided to keep track of my daily efforts along my path to cosplay awesome and done-ness..... Lol not a word.
Ok! Here's what has been acomplished on this lovely Easter morning:

Last night I sewed the arm band, just the red base, and decided I smelled nasty so I took a shower.

This morning after I ate a butt load of candy I looked up the Kanji for "Team Leader" as necessary for the armband.

I proceeded to write the Kanji on the armband and dance a bit.

Also, I decided on the shoes. I had three pairs to chose from but I'm going with the darker pair with an elevated heel and bronze eyelets. Its... the most haruhi-like shoes I've got. Not half bad actually.

YAY!!!!
Headband, check.
armband, check.
fabric for skirt and collar? ... Maybe tomorrow.

Things to do tomorrow:
Bother mom for white shirt.
Go to WalMart with Kyle to get fabric.
Buy black knee high socks.

Cash spent so far: 0$
Time spent so far: 2.5 hours
Sanity lost: 1/100 units. (I wore the headband to taco bell...)

The one I'm most excited for is Haruhi. I've got the dance and song memorized. It's just a matter of the outfit.

Preregistered for AnimeIowa 2007, my second convention!

Hope to see some awesome cosplays and a few friends I met last year. But I wonder if I will recognize them in their new costumes?

BTW, I'm going as:

Roy Mustang

But my partners for Ash and Roy couldn't make the costume and the other can't go.
plus one of the members of the artgroup who was also the partner for the FMA cosplay can't make it....

I applied at DQ like, tuesday, but no response yet. I sure hope that I get the job because i still owe my mom 56$ from KHII in april.

I've got this stupid food web thing due in Biology II on wednesday.

Waaahh!!! School is starting soon! I only have 1 1/2 days left of freedom.

How depressing.

But! I found out that there will be a con in omaha next june! I wont get to go to Nebraskon though, so that's kinda upsetting. I don't have the cash to anyway.

I'll be sixteen soon! w00t driving. Haha, I dont even have my permit yet. XP but i can drive, I swear.

WOW! I went to my first anime convention!!! It's still going on today, but I couldn't say because my mom couldn't get off of work. *curses Tractor Supply*
But dude, I mean, wow....

We left at seven am on friday, my mom drove us, and I went with my little brother who didn't cosplay, Autumn, who was Sexy no Jutsu Naruto, Sarah, who was Temari, and of course I was Sexy no Jutsu Sasuke. We ended up getting there about noon, when we had to stand in the register and pre-register lines until about 12:30 pm, then we spazzed on all of the panels and such. Oh, and it might be useful to say that we cosplayed the second day only. Mainly because Sarah didn't have her fan done but she ended up not finishing it and just having it folded up. But dude, her costume kicked ass.

The day before, thursday, I spent all day finishing up my own costume and when Sarah and Autumn came over at about 8, We worked on finishing theirs. Me and Sarah stayed up all night working on her fan and Auty's costume (she went to sleep around one and we woke her up at four am.) I had to fix autumn's because my mom majorly screwed up the jacket and i had to rip out the seam and re hem it and then cut more fabric and it was just all a big pain in the ass, but it turned out very cute.

My costume was pretty much ninja shoes, jeans (story on that in a minute), Sasuke shirt, arm thingies, pig tails, two blue fans (which turned out to be lifesavers in un-ac'd elevators) and bell earrings. Not too much sexy jutsu but hell, i liked it. Besides, I think I looked really cute in it.

I met/saw some uber awesome people. (please excuse the crappy camera pictures, digital ones will be loaded asap)

Now for a funny story.

I went into the voice acting panel about halfway through, and Kyle Hebert, voice of Kiba in Naruto and gohan and the narrator of DBZ was hosting it. He was calling volunteers up from the crowd to try the dubbing. I got chosen, and it was so cool.

First, you must know that I do a lot of parody dubbing for myself.
Next, I misunderstand people and what they say alot.

So, anyway, i got chosen, and i went up to say my line. It was supposed to be "Ya know, you're really good with that broom. You could be like Harry potter or something. Only that kid's rich and you look more like a janitor. Well, I guess I'm done talking to you now, bye! hee hee."

and so i said my line like perfectly, and everyone cheered. then he said, "now you just go wild." so autumn figured he ment with the voice, but i thought he meant the words too. so i said something along the lines of, "Last night i ate this really bad burrito. And now it's effecting my body pretty badly. So.. you might need that mop later. Oh, well, gotta go again, bye! hee hee."

And everyone loved me.
